I'm a designer, writer, philosopher, and student who loves mint chocolate chip ice cream. I come from Philadelphia and spend the school year at Rensselaer (near Albany, NY), where I study product design.
I work part-time as a freelance web designer. I use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to create efficient, compatible, and accessible websites. In particular, however, I like to focus on product strategy, user experience, and usability.
As a designer, I'm fascinated by the intersections between anthropology, psychology, technology, and business strategy, and I love to explore the influences and possibilities that these fields bring to design. On both the theoretical and the practical levels, new approaches to design and the design process can lead to new ways of thinking and working in many other domains. I aim to develop these ideas, along with related thoughts on education and philosophy, in my blog.
In my free time, I listen to music, watch Arrested Development, and read lots of books and blogs. I'm also an active alumnus of the Technology Student Association (TSA) and FIRST, and I serve as a volunteer and mentor in each.
I think instead of the box; however, before I do so, I consider the box's interior and exterior as well as every one of its faces, corners, and edges.
